The damage to that back window didn't happen overnight. Either the car has been badly neglected by the previous owner or the car has been sitting there for a very long time.

be prepared for a surprise as a professional charges full rates. I doubt if it would be cost effective.

All very good points, all depends on how long it has been off the road and and how cheap I can get it. If the rear bumper is virtually undamaged I doubt chassis damage. Could be worth buying as a hobby and if it falls over then flogging the parts, though I would be loath to go down that road.

I wish it was an NA8, though some people also find NA6 cars appealing

Que Sera, will report on progress.

Hi
I have purchased a few cars from Pickles Auctions.
Most have been good and have been repaired . Every so often one comes unstuck and needs a lot of work and cost to be repaired.
I can tell you that it is very expensive to fix a crashed car unless you know a competent backyarder who does not charge much or you can do the work yourself.
The car that you are interested in has had quite a bang in the back.
If possible you need to inspect it to see if the car lines are straight.
Look at the doors to see if they line up right. The gaps should be even. If not the car has chassis damage.
At least the WOVR (Written Off Vehicle Register) is not applicable so this is good as it may save you some money.
Also note there is no compliance plate which indicates it is an imported car.
I notice you live in WA so it may be worthwhile to go to the auction on the 3rd Nov and see what happens.
Good luck in whatever you do.
Cheers

Can someone tell me how this goes? Ages ago I nearly bought a written off S15, mechanically it was sound and it's only fault was a smashed tombstone, windows, sun roof and slashed seat. But I caved on buying it due to some advice with trouble registering a write off.

I'd be interested to find out what the process is for future reference
