R888 what psi

Hi guys, taking my race car to the track for the first time on Monday

Got toyo r888 on her
What psi would you run in them on the way to the track

I know you would want no more then 30 psi hot when racing

But what about on the road to the track

Thanks to anyone that helps me with this

I put 28 cold in mine, drove to the track like that and it was never a problem. They have much stiffer sidewalls than normal road tyres so 28 certainly isn't a problem.

I have run my 195/50/15 R888 as low as 24psi. I do sprint events, so for track work 28 is probably a good starting point.

I run mine 28psi cold to and from the track and 24 or 25 cold on the track. 28-30psi hot seems to be a good a good place to start.

Actually, is there an air line available at Lakeside for pumping them up? Might be good to go a little higher on the cold psi so that you can reduce the pressures to your preferred hot temp after the first session...

If you drive your car to the track on your motor sport tyres, a good rule-of-them is: cold pressure for road use = hot pressure for track use.
You can go as high as 32psi for the front axle (hot) and 30psi for the rear axle (hot). Any higher than this, bleed some pressure off.
