Hey Guys,
So the lowering thing is happening now. My problem is Scooby 2 will never be on a race track but the ride height is starting to annoy me now.
I don't want new coil-overs just lowered springs but I don't know which ones to get.
I am happy with the ride so I would not want stiffer springs.(maybe a little would be OK)
Choices are:
Eibach Pro-Kit (mania) or mxparts.UK
King Springs (mania)
Tein S Tech Springs NB (mx5centre)
Keeping shocks, only done 1400km so still good.
Which springs would give me closest to standard feel but about 30mm lower rear and 20mm front.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Or alternatives I haven't mentioned.
Regards,
Richard

There are two things to consider
1/ to install the springs, you have to pull the current shocks out.
2/ The Eibachs (recommended choice) are about $500
The Dilemma, Bilstein PSS9s can be sourced from America for very reasonable money.
SHOX.COM
Bilstein PSS9 kit 1998 - 2005 Kit comes with shocks and springs, and allows ride height and 9 dampening adjustments. #GM5-8609-H1 $1379.00
These will then bolt right in you can set everything to the right height and you will have one of the best sets of suspension available for the money.

Went for a drive and there were slow cars everywhere, why are NC's so common . . . must be NC = Normally Cardiganed.

Obviously PSS9s are the go but the ride will be firmer than going the Eibach Sports spring/stock shock route.
The Eibachs drop is around 30mm and MX5 Parts can land a set at your door in the Shire for $337 (208 GBP delivered). Kings will cost you about the same if you have Mania deliver them. You’d need to check with them how much Kings drop the car.
I’m at Sylvania and have a set of spring compressors, PM me if you want to borrow them to do the install yourself.

Re: SP Ride height advise please.
Thank you guys,
I have ordered the Eibach Pro-Kit landed here for $330.00. Shox.com.
Played with the idea Bilstein PSS9s but would be wasted driving around the shire, and maybe to firm even on the soft settings.
I will try to get installed locally. Any suggestions?

Pity I didn't see this thread earlier, but any good suspension place can re-set your springs to give you a lower ride height without affecting your ride.
Don't dismiss the PS9's.
They actually ride better than the stock springs and shocks, as well as improving the handling, and you can always just turn a knob to stiffen them up, if you want to.
