Re: AVO/FM/BEGI

not saying it is accurate but their hub dyno calls it at
176 kw on 10psi at 5250rpm

Re: AVO/FM/BEGI
Nice one, when do I get a drive?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

236hp? Wow... is that a corrected "at the crank" figure, or is that at the wheels?
If that is at the wheels, that is EXCELLENT for a stock engine on 10psi... especially with a GT2560. I will be fitting a stage 3 kit with 2560 to my NA8 in december and if I can tune to 210rwhp at 10psi, I will be over the moon. I am expecting more like 200 rwhp.
Congrats!!

OK i'll bite...
Quite honestly, these numbers are astounding. A little too astounding to be sure.
Peak power at 5300rpm is unusual. I would have expected it at least 1k rpm closer to redline, at least having regard to the other dyno charts i've seen for similarly modified cars.

Re: AVO/FM/BEGI
Whoops - wait, SO much fail. I didn't see the key - blue is power, green is torque... d'oh!
OK so the line isn't outrageous in shape - just very impressive on power.
How much timing has he tuned in? With a lot of advance and an awesome exhaust, I could see these numbers being possible. Lots of advance though, and you run the risk of detonation, etc - but your tuner knows more about this than me i'd bet...

Just checking that everyone is making their judgements based on the knowledge that this is a HUB DYNO.

Re: AVO/FM/BEGI
So in other words, we are talking 236 bhp (after conversion)?

Re: AVO/FM/BEGI
I honestly dont want to get involved in any sh*t fights over this. I am not claiming anything just showing what I've got from them.
i dont know what difference a hub dyno makes.
I have only dríven it home from the shop so far so have a limited feel for it (and wont really give it it's first squirt until I am on a good open track) but I can vouch that it gets on song very early. This was always the plan though. You now just row through gears like you are facing a truck full of japs with a bolt action rifle.
From day one this build was always about response and a linear torque curve. It was never about peak power

Re: AVO/FM/BEGI
The type of dyno setup can effect the final figures.
Regardless, it looks like the install has gone great! Congrats! Would love to hear updates - have a similar install coming up myself
