I'm running almost the same set-up as Peter Li's in the pic above however my work equip's have an extra -3 offset on each side:

I can only say that if you run these specs, tyre choice is very important. I had great difficulty finding any place to mount tyres on them and even with the current 185/60/14 on the front, I am yet to achieve the 'look'. You'll also need to be heavily slammed to close any gaps too between wheel and arches.

I'm trying to source 195/45/14 tyres now for the front - hopefully I will get closer to where I want it to soon :)

Those tires look so chunky for 185/60/14!
Can we have the exact specs on your wheels incl. tire brand please, i can't get over how bulky the tires look!

Yes - 185/60/14 were definitely CHUNKY and was not the look I was after so as of last weekend, I swapped the front for Falken 195/45/14's which are on the car now. I think I posted updated pics somewhere:

Looks a lot better now but I need to lower the car more ... pending shift to a new apartment which hopefully has a more friendly driveway. My car's undercarriage is not faring well with the present driveway as it already sits.

Ahh cheers mate, guessing the fronts are 7's by the semi-mushroom type look with 185's?
How low are you running the car now?
I'm at ~60mm from rails, and are just debating what tire/wheel diameter i wish to run before they get built.

Re the wheels, I think I had the specs somewhere else:

Car's pretty low - I cannot get a standard factory jack under the car at the front. At the rear, I need to slide it along the chassis rail to get it under. But there are still big gaps in the wheel arches.

Fitting 195/45/15 tyres on the rear may be the next thing but other than that, I really need to go lower for that right 'stance'.

Try Mx5 centre in Moorabbin.=, they have the singe hoop davis brown cage for $750 + $80 for install. :D

I guess I'll necro this am I'm having a few questions regarding this as well. I currently have 15x6.5 wheels and 195/50 Kumho KU31s on a 90NA6. I'm looking for a wider stance, but without needing to roll the fenders, so maybe x7 or x7.5 width? I've emailed Work regarding the 15" O-disk, and they've claimed that an O-disk won't fit due to brake clearances. They've quoted me:

15x7 +10 with deep dish 57 mm – AU$ 1900 delivered
15x8 +22 with deep dish 57 mm – AU$ 1880 delivered

Would the 8" width be too wide? And what's a maximum offset that I can take with each width? In the 2nd post broady wrote up some sizes:
x9.0 +33
x8.5 +26
x8.0 +20
x7.5 +14
x7.0 +7
x6.5 +0
x6.0 -5
Are these for O-disk or A-disk?

I'm more than happy to help with fitment questions, and I'm not trying to be a smartass, but why would you want "fitment" without wanting to touch the gaurds? That's like saying you want performance increase but don't want to take out the stock intake/exhaust.

Just roll the gaurds, it's nothing to be scared of, then you don't have to worry (as much) about rubbing and clearance.

"Don't roll the guards, you will ruin the perfect body shape of your Miata and destroy it's remarkable handling characteristics. If you need advice on wheel 'fitment' (stupid kids- move to club roadster), my advice would be to keep it standard or look for nb8a oem wheels as these are manufactured in the highest quality by Enkei for Mazda. They sit slightly wider to 'fill' the guards on your car and will give you a modern look. If you were to really do something crazy, I recommend getting some Chapparals which are available from Rspeed. They are available in some in some pretty ridiculous sizes such as 15x7 +38 this is 2" wider than oem standard na wheels. Although the steering will be significantly heavier than standard, you may have to convert to powersteering."

My advice if you are after something flush, it depends on what tyre size you want. You can't go too wrong with 15x8.5 +5 with 195/45/15 ku31's. They sit really nice with a fair bit of camber and a huge height drop. You will have to mod your guards regardless so don't worry too much about it. You will need a pull too for this but like I said, don't be afraid. They are supposed to be ruined 8)

LOL! Gold!

I would like it corrected to 90% instead of every member... I suppose the point does get across, rolling you guards WILL ruin the handling.

why on earth will rolling the guards ruin the handling? it is literally folding a piece of metal so it sticks upward instead of outwards.
or am i missing the sarcasm ?
