Love the KU36's for street driving. Will never go to a less grippy tyre again.

Just had a set of four KU36 fitted at Option 1 Garage. Very friendly group of enthusiasts there and great service. Their prices are excellent too, so try them if you are in the Brisbane area and looking for Kumhos or Federals.

As for the tyres, they are very quiet compared to the R1Rs and seem very grippy on the street, even though they are freshly fitted. I reckon they'll be a great compromise between cost and performance - especially as they are only 60% of the cost of the Toyos. 8)

The R1Rs had to take early retyrement  because I didn't swap them front to rear. I'd stuffed the two fronts but the rears still had about 5,000 km in them. So they'd only been on for 16,000 km = a very, very expensive exercise although very, very grippy.

Just do more skids.

16K km seems pretty damn good for R1Rs?

Yeah but half of that was with the rear wheels spinning, running the odo up. The front end of your car has only done 48,000 kms :P

I'm sure I could have got more km out of them if I only drove in straight lines. :D Too many track days, too many hill climbs and, well, too much fun.
