Wheel spacers

Has anyone used wheel spacers? Increased track / benefits? Even with rear only (similar to Elise having wider rear wheels..) :?:

ive been running 20mm ones for about 2 months now. I just did it for looks, they will be removed for trackwork

apart from that no complaints from me on the road, just feels like a normal car

Hi Cos,
Re; the body roll thing, when I moved from my NB to the NC2 I Felt that the body roll was excessive, until I reviewed my seating position and softened input, both at the wheel and throttle (smoother is flatter and faster).

Hi Greg,

Yeah the Clio is FWD & some one has placed $200 bucks on it, so it will be sold soon (such a good car, wish I could have kept both...)

Re the NC2, it handles brilliantly, but thought maybe a little wider on the rear track would counter act the stiffer RX8 swaybar & the possibility of sudden oversteer...? Or am I being too cautious. (plus I wanna buy something....lol)

Cos,
Talk with the blokes who have their cars set up for track, Matt, Randy etc and maybe purchase a pair of adjustable end links and above all remember that it is RWD. My Girl has an Audi that is a bloody nightmare until I readjust my head. :oops:

P.S. Tyre pressures are critical as well (32psi in each corner works for me) Do you get to the Garage Cafe?

Hey Greg,

Just had a look at Garage Cafe's link - what a great idea!! Haven't been there, but will plan to go soon.

I'll keep the air pressure in mind & will research the adjustable end links....

Hey there!

No I couldn't , especially with summer around the corner. I decided to sell the Clio & get another MX5, was looking at a 2004 SE, when a 2009 NC2 came up really cheap because of high km's on it.....so I took the plunge... I'll put some pics up soon.

How's Malibu '91....miss that car also, have u tracked it yet? Put the standards wheels back on?

No i wont be tracking it.
I have put a new set of rims on, Like the look of the old ones better but having the right offset has stopped the guard rub, & lightened the steering.Will put some pics up when I have washed it.
