I was looking at the Thompson kit too for my SE but couldn't figure out where I could even fit it. With my aftermarket intercooler, there's not much room in the front and my foglights eliminate Novice1's install location.

Maybe when I replace the OEM Oil Catch Can with an aftermarket one located where the OEM washer bottle was there may be more room on the driver's side for the oil cooler?

Unfortunately no pics . Though I was impressed with the quality of the parts. Contact mx5plus service and speak to Rhys who installed the unit....alternatively Triple Nine Automotive may have photos of the kit.

I've been trying to figure this out also, but making a custom kit.

I don't like the idea of installing it under the car like on the FM kit and i don't want to put it somewhere before or after the intercooler or radiator as there is already too much stuff inline. The best solution i have come up with so far is to remove the drivers side fog light and mount behind the hole, replacing the fog light with some kind of vented blank off plate, althought it kind of ruins the look of the car.

I have even heard of them being installed in the boot.....but I wouldn't go there. The fog light solution route I would have gone but my car doesn't have fog lights. Could install different front bar with fog lights, but that would be costly..

Aesthetics for me is not a big issue. Looking at possibly having panel beater cut hole in front bar, back with some sort of mesh painted same colour as the car and fitting bezel cover to top off. Currently however waiting for Richard from Mx5plus to come up with another vent which will do the same thing but look a lot better.
Bottom line is even without direct airflow engine temperatures are still dramatically reduced.
