Hi folks,
I'm looking at replacing the stock seats in my NA6 and I was wondering what other people have fitted in their rides. Is there any particular brand/model that is a perfect fit for the NA's?

Aftermarket seats
Legalities aside regarding fixed back seats the SPARCO SPRINTS fit with minor mods to the rails..
Just some new holes drilled into them.
I think you run into issues due to the narrow clearance in mx5's with alot of other seats.

Re: Aftermarket seats
Sparco Sprints are a fairly popular option as they can be fitted to the stock rails with minimal work. [edit: Dweezle beat be to it!]
I ended up with a pair of Mazdaspeed seats and I'm very happy with them. They're not as supportive as a full race seat but they are far more comfortable. They pop up for sale fairly regularly.

MS seats are about the same as stock.
But agree on being the most comfortable.

Re: Aftermarket seats
I'll 'third' that re: comfort - my partner thinks it's the best mod we've done since the stock NB8A seats weren't that great after an hour of driving.
If you are heading down the MS seats route though, let me know - (Assuming that you're in Syd) I know a guy at Silverwater who fixed and reinforced the side padding that's closest to the doors on both my seats. Alot of people (like my ex-mechanic...) accidentally sit on the side cushions when they enter the car and completely breaks the foam... a worthwhile investment of $150 for a pair of seats over $1000.

Re: Aftermarket seats
NB8B seats are a way better than NA and NB8A seats. We do 1,000k trips in ours pretty comfortably They bolt straight in on your existing runners. Just find a car yard or a friend with a car and try them out.

Re: Aftermarket seats
If anything Dweezle I'd say they were a little heavier than stock.
One point of interest though is that they do sit higher than the stock seats. I ended up getting a set of lower mounts because my head would hit the roof when I was wearing a helmet and I'm only 175cm tall.
