ABS?

Postby Purfler » Sat Sep 18, 2010 7:34 pm

Ok, long ago I realised that I'm as thick as the proverbial...

About two months ago I bought a '93 NA LE. One of the best things I've done for ages. It has a relay for ABS and the Wikipedia entry says LE's had ABS. However, that entry says a bunch of things about the LE which clearly do not apply in Oz - especially about colours. I decided to investigate, and clean the front suspension at the same time (as you do). Bargared if I can see ABS hubs. As they say in the classics, please explain?

Thanks,

Tim

I thought that ABS was first introduced to Australian MX5s with the NB8B. (Oct 2000->)

yep, only from NB8B in AU.

ABS was available in NA models in other markets though, so yes it's possible to retrofit. probably not an easy task though.

Thanks for the replies. Don't suppose anyone knows what the ABS relay does then?
