A good thousand cars over there with sportmaxx. Some of them will be the +15 variant.

Thanks guys, yeah the colour looks pretty good better in real life. But i might have to change it, to hard to maintain it if you get a scratch or anything on it. Im hoping i can find a colour almost the same thats not a candy pearl so I dont have to respray the car if something else happens to the paint. Ill get the flares done and spray it at the same time, also I'm going to get a front cf lip.
Yeah I havent been around much, had heaps going on and I was working on another project my hb 929 13b. but that sorta came to an end when the clutch exploded and went threw the bonnet and almost killed someone... been meaning to go on another run with everyone

FWIW I do have a set currently on my NA but they're 16x7 +15 ... not the best pics but may give an idea - as said before, lots of pics available on the web of these:

I find the offset still a bit weak, especially at the front - I have a set of 25mm spacers on order to fix that though.

I just put a set of 16"x8" XXR 521's on my E30 BMW. They also look money on an MX5. They are also ET20, not zero or 15.

I use to have a set of the same wheels on my NA6 I was running kumho ku36 205 50 tyres with the 15x8 0 offset. I undertook a full respray and fitted some wider flares from http://www.carmate.com. I’ll let the pictures talk for themself anyway

I'm loving those flares. I'd love any excuse to run 0 offset or negatives. Where did you score them though? I love how they go right down the the skirts (or where they should be) and blend with the body. This might be a little extreme to say but it looks almost factory.
Though I have to ask, did you cut the stock arches, roll them or something before you added the bolt on number? Also, how do you feel the extra track has affected the handling of your mx? I'm running the girliest offset on my wat's and dying to man up to some xxr's. I was planning to go with the 7 +25 but it doesn't fill the arches as much as I'd have liked them to.

I have had some people say the same thing to me. It’s usually what’s different something’s really different or they can’t believe the age of the car?? It doesn’t look normal like as you said they blend in with the lines etc very well. They also have the same side line followed through them to match up with the stock lines. I was going to roll them but had no desire to take the flares off so measured up where the fastening bolts went and cut them off there. Then rewelded the inner guards to them so to keep them water tight etc. www.carmate.com is where i got the flares from. They were in a ready to paint finish coat but took a fair bit to fit as they didn’t really have a fitting guide. I used counter sunk bolts then glassed over them and smoothed them off till you couldn’t see they were there. I feel that having a wider track has helped in handling but can course some problems with steering in the front (clearing the front bar and the inner arch) I had to bend back the inside plastic fastener part you will know what i mean when you see it. I also upgraded my front and rear top control arms to help with getting the right alignment. I have heard a lot of people say that the mx5s are perfect from the factory and i can agree they are a very fun car to drive stock but if you have a picture in your mind you won’t rest till you have done it. That’s what i did anyway and i honestly think its improved the handling, but your mind can tell you some weird things at times :?
