That's not a letterbox. That's a column! (A short one)

In a house with three women there are always handbags everywhere. The usually contain things that cannot be found when needed - like keys, phones etc

Cannot say I'm a fan of 17" on an NA, it accentuates the stock height of the car. You should dump it super low and I think you'll look a lot smoother. Though I do like your old wheels, do you know what they are? They look BBS

Mean no offense by this by the way but I did a quick lower in photoshop lol, I'm crap at explaining in words so I needs pics to express myself due to my lack of diction lol!

i'm not sure what the old ones are, ill eventually get them sprayed black in the centre (or just blasted back to metal and polished)

i want to keep them as my business tyres, eventually set them up with semi slicks,

its the same rolling diameter as the red ones but i know what you mean by makes it look higher, i thought the same

ill have a problem going any more than 1" lower at the front as the guards are in the way :s

the rear can go down 2 and it will end up basically like the photoshopped picture..

if any of you guys go to the MX500 ill probably be rolling on reds

Bought it with these on, due to the offset cant lower it as I seem to be getting some rear guard rub as it is. Really like these wheels so I might get some with less offset to fit them under the guards & then lower it a bit.

I wouldn't say so from the photos but by the sounds of it rubbing on the guard at that height, I assume you have 15x8+0? You can get them stupidly low under a stock bodied NA, you just need a little bit of work. What size tyres are you running?

It's possibly your springs, too soft = bouncy = rub

Supension is firm. the photo doesnt show it but the wheels stick out past the guards. they are 15x7 tyres are195/50R15. Standard wheels had to go back on to pass RWC.
