Rough ride from cold

Postby Bugsy » Fri Sep 03, 2010 5:24 pm

I am wondering if there is anyone who has had a similar problem and can help please. I have a 1999 NB that feels like it has flat spots on the tyres when starting off from cold and it slowly disappears as the car get hot. I had the wheels balanced, still no good so I fitted a set of new 205/40ZR17 mags and tyres but still no different. It shakes the body as well on the odd occasion but not all the time and only at slow speed but at higway speed it travels excellent. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Bugsy

Just a shot in the dark Bugsy but check your universals on the drive shaft.

Thanks Old Dude, I have already done that at the last service and everything looked in order underneath.

not sure if it's anything like Wivvix's problem, but there might be some hints in this thread as it covered a lot of ground: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=34151

Thanks again for the help. It looks as if it may be another trip to the hoist for further investigations, I will put up a post if I find anything until then keep smiling.
Cheers
