Wheel nuts

Postby adelaide paul » Thu Aug 19, 2010 2:04 pm

I have bought factory alloys for my 89 NA and am after a set of standard wheel nuts to suit
The alloys have a cap that covers the wheel nuts, my mag wheel nuts are too tall and too wide for the stud opening
I've tried a couple of wreckers, who might be able to rustle up a set, but don't sound overly confident of having a full set

Does anyone in Adelaide have a set to sell or can anyone recommend where I can get some cheap?

Try a wrecker. The wheel nuts will fit a number of different Mazda models. I bought a full set from a 323 for about $25 from a wrecker a few years ago.

Many thanks,
I found out that they are in fact 12 x 1.5 and that they are common to all Mazdas and are known as open wheel nuts
Bought a full set from Mazwreck for $16
Problem solved very cheaply

Thanks again for the advice

Probably too late now, but make sure the nuts are for alloy wheels.

you arent supposed to use steel nuts on alloy wheels, or vice versa.

it's basically because steel is harder and can over time chew into the softer alloy.
