replacement muffler (exhaust back box) ?

Postby dnz » Tue Aug 17, 2010 11:14 pm

I was following an mx-5 back from the blue mountains the other day and he'd replaced the exhaust backbox with just a piece of pipe ie no silencer, I've seen these pipes before in the UK, Anyone know where I can get one in Aus? Its not just a botch up someone has done as mx5parts.co.uk used to stock them and they fit to the original flanges and brackets.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it would be insanely loud and handy at attracting unwanted attention?

Shouldn't be too bad on a turboed car :)

My NA6T has just the cat, small resonator and 2.5" mandrel bent tube from the turbo back. Sounds MUCH better than when I had a big muffler on the rear which was far too quiet. It's by no means too loud....even when you drop it back to second and charge through a tunnel with the roof down :)

Cheers,
Julian
