Fitting a hardtop in Adelaide

Postby Elmo » Thu Aug 12, 2010 7:22 pm

Hi, Does anyone in SA know where I can take my hardtop to have the fittings/brackets checked out. I think my hardtop is a little loose and seems to have a dodgy fitting on the rear right hand side

Cheers

You could try Southern Hitech Dyno Tune around Melrose Park. They're quite experienced with MX5s. Give them a ring and check.

They were the ones who did an NB6 engine swap into my NA6.

Thanks for that, I've got a bolt that's come loose but I can't seem to find a nut that will fit the bolt and also fit into the space on the chrome hardtop bracket???

Do you know where to get the felt/rubber sleeves I think there called that fit to the bottom of the chrome hardtop brackets

I was told my hardtop is missing these bits  and its causing the chrome metal brackets to rub on the metal plates where the frankenstein bolts are
