Is anyone running these at the moment?
Ive done a search but to no avail. There arent many reviews on these tyres on Google either.

Im booking in at Spinning Wheel next thrusday to have them installed and a full wheel alignment.

I will throw up a review of them when they are scrubbed in ( i also have two trackdays coming up also)

Pretty sure KRM has them and he's been using them at club trackdays and supersprints. I ran them briefly on my MINI Cooper S a few years ago, but not long enough to get a full appreciation of them.

As Guran said I am running them on my car for both club drives, club track days and NSW super sprint series. The car is not a daily drive.

Size 195 50 15 on a NA6. Price $150.00 per tyre fitted

I use to run P6000.

I found that the RSR didn't have a great deal more grip than the P6000 but were a lot more progressive at the limit and would let go with good warning. The P6000 were oops why am I pointing in the wrong direction. They are also very stable under brakes even with the car off balance.

My first wet track day was the very wet day in Feb this year. I was worried how they would go. The worked very well and had better grip than cars on Bridgestone Potenza RE001 Adrenalin.

As for wear I have done 5 Super Sprints, 3 Track days, Trip to natmeet in SA and 1 hill climb and still have a lot of life left in them.

They heat cycle very well. The warm up quickly and don't go off in the track day format.

They have a similar noise level to the P6000.

But please note I can only compare these to the P6000 as I haven't had any other tyres on the MX5.

MOTOR magazine tested some R specs, S specs and road tyres in their tyre tests for Dec 2008 issue. They rated D03G as the best, followed by RE55S second, R888 third, and 595RS-R fourth.

Drilling down into the scores, the ranking for dry performance was:

The low ranking of RS-R tyres in the wet reflects their poor performance in the wet slalom test. Interestingly, the RE001 performed the best in the wet slalom test, but was behind RS-R in the constant radius and braking tests!

So take this info with a grain of salt.

i shall see how they go as from next thrusday. I have a superspring on the 15th, i also have to get my entry in for the club day too

it will be interesting to see how they handle on the old sh1t Sydney roads
