Starter Interlock Switch

Postby Divo » Sat Jul 10, 2010 10:07 pm

Hi
Is there a starter interlock switch on Australian delivered NB's (2002) ? I've looked at a manual off the net which is probably for USA which shows one connected to the clutch pedal.

cheers

Mark

don't reckon, that's a yank thing............they must be dopey dicks over there with manual gearboxes, a mate of mine bought a Transam years ago, & it wouldn't start unless the clutch pedal was fully depressed, never been fitted to any AU car I know of. :D

He's lucky!
Many American cars won't start unless the gearbox is in neutral AND the clutch pedal is fully depressed.

With our cars, you can even engage the starter when in gear and the clutch pedal out!
