start with fuses, then relays
check the block in the engine bay first.

Re: front lights are dead.
yep its a blow fuse indeed.
so I replaced it with another & it worked for 2 seconds before it blew again.
looks like the bug hunt under the butchered dash is the go.
I hate electrics.

Re: front lights are dead.
so Off to Supercrap it was this morning to get some more fuses & some spare ones because I'm sure to blow a few to fix this.
I replaced the blown 30 amp one with a 40 amp one so hopefully it would last a little longer as I was told this was something a little more major.
Look for melted wiring I was told in no uncertain terms.
So As I'm switching the light switch on & off I notice smoke appearing from under the drivers side light. bingo.
unbolt the covers & the plot thickens.
the plug is melting. Its melted enough to short the system. Its been melting slowly for some time.
so a new plug was found & re-wired.
a new plug with appropriate size wiring was attached. It came from a 1965 Holden Premier.
and the lights are back in action. As well as being a little brighter than before.
relieved & happy. And many thanks to a sparky friend who drives a beautiful 1965 Holden Premier.

Re: front lights are dead.
Glad to hear you fixed it Stephan.
On another note, I see you going to work quite often in the mornings when you turn into River Rd at Greenwich (like this morning).
For a shop owner, you're lucky to get to start work so late!
