Has my coil pack burnt out?

Hi 93_Clubman,

Did your coil pack just suddenly stop working or were you careless like me and leave the ignition on?

didn't leave it on & it was still working, but on it's way out. it was more common on the na6 - bit like the nb8a - na8 is generally pretty good.

The day of truth!

The second hand coil pack was delivered today. It looked in very good condition. I installed it, checked and double checked everything and took a deep breath before attempting to start the car. YES, YES, YES fired up first time!

Such a relief it was a simple fix! A costly mistake leaving the ignition on which will never be repeated... man those coils are delicate!
