Hi All,
I'm a very new member, and probably here on false pretences as I don't own an MX5. But I am a great fan of the car and wish to honour it by painting a classic Citroen DS 23 Pallas in an MX5 colour. Can anybody please give me the paint name & correct colour code for the lovely copper/bronzy/red that came out in 2007 or 2008. I remember seeing it on a retractable hard roof car.
I've tried 3 Mazda dealers so far, but none of them have been able to help me, so I thought that I'd come to the source of real information. Many thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Request for a paint colour code
Planning to change my front number plate holder to the MX5plus version but i know that some damage has already been done by people who obviously need rear parking senors.
Is Evolution Orange Mica Racing Orange (18K) the same as Evo Gold for my NB8A?
Any good paint shop near Kingsford/Randwick that people can recommend so that I can get a little container's worth?

Yes
33J was a US only color on the 2nd generation SEs, looks the schizzle too
some nice shots here too http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3363369
and some more here http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2287695 actually pages of them
Went for a drive and there were slow cars everywhere, why are NC's so common . . . must be NC = Normally Cardiganed.

18K = Evo Gold/Evo Orange/Racing Orange
33J = Lava Orange or Chili Orange which was only ever available on an SE and also only in the US per my post above, more specifically built between August and December 2004
So if Badbong has a car that has paint code of 33J then:
a) he lives in the US and drives an SE
or
b) he lives in the US and drives an SE
otherwise he drives a right hand drive Evolution Gold NB8A built between 1998-2000/2001 with paint code 18K.
When the NB8B was released, the Evolution Gold was dropped and replaced with Crystal Blue, paint code 23C.
