While on the topic, if anyone in or around Brisbane has a green or black hardtop and wants to swap for a red one, let me know.
The one I have is an NA version, no demister, in fair/average condition.

Why don't you guys sand them down mask em up and spray some satin black over them??? If you don't like it later, you could rub it back and polish the old paint.

I planned on doing that, lightyear, and bought all the stuff for it. But around the same time I had a go at re-sprying a motorbike, and it did not end well. So I'm not confident I could do a good job. I'd rather swap/pay for one in the right colour.
The stupid thing is, my car had a factory roof which was sold before I bought it, and the roof I found was green from the factory and was repainted red. Shesh.
