My Bleck 8B

Postby honki3rider » Thu Jun 03, 2010 12:47 am

Hey guys, Just thought I'd post my 5 up on here. Nothing special, just black with a few 'upgrades'.

'Upgrade' list as per the seller's original for sale ad:

- 17" G-Games Wheels
- 15" CR Kai copies with semis
- Full SMB Stainless Exhaust
- Carbon Fibre SMB Air Intake System
- TEIN FLEX Coilvers Fully Adjustable
- MAZDASPEED 4 point Roll Bar (I actually researched this for a while and came to the conclusion that the rollbar is actually a Cusco item)
- Torsen LSD
- EXEDY Sports Racing Clutch
- SE Front Spoiler
- Ferodo 2500 Front Brake Pads
- Hawk HP Plus Rear Brake Pads
- SPARCO Full Bucket Seat
- GReddy Oil Catch Can
- GReddy Front Strut Brace
- AutoExe Rear Strut Brace
- Whiteline Sway Bars (Front only :( )
- Macnecor Ignition Leads
- Odyssey Lightweight Sealed Battery
- NGK Platinum Spark Plugs

The plan with this car to drive it as much as I can on the track and skidpan and not spend too much on it. Hopefully will update the thread with plenty of photos.

This was pretty much how I got the car.

Did some skids on the EC skidpan.

Track prep including wheel change and raise the suspension...
Image

...As well as DIY camera mounting, which was an utter failure due to hdd cutting out (bringing memory cards next time round!)
Image

Not sure why, but I washed the car before the trackday...

And cooling down after a thrashing on the track.

Hmmm nice

Are those RT215s?! Surely they'd be hard by now! Thought they ceased production back in 03 or 04

Yep, 215's. I was sliding a fair bit on the track, so it would be safe to say that they are past their used by date. Shame really since there is heaps of tread left.

I'm sure it is just an illusion. Was level last time I checked.

And yes, black is hard to keep, well, black. But it is the best colour out there.
