They certainly aren't, and as we all know, when rubber gets older not only does it tend to get harder, but eventually it also becomes brittle and breaks up.
The point I aimed to underscore is that the stiffness of urethane and polyurethane bushings relative to brand new rubber OEM bushings, is significant.
I was not implying that from a practical, comfort or compliance standpoint, that old deteriorated bushings are fairly compared to any replacement product.

If you were desperate I suppose you might opt for the blue polybush if you could find them, but that said they're still ~ $400-500 for a full set (not incl diff mounts).
