I can get myself a (really cheap)set of brake rotors from Bosch (PBR) to suit an Auto version of an NB MX5. My vehicle is a manual version (obviously) so before I get them, I'd like to know if they'll fit on the hub and in the calipers.
I expect there is a difference in offset or OD or something, but I haven't ever heard of manufacturers specifying a different brake spec based on transmission variant...
Does anyone know what the difference is between the manual brake rotors and the auto brake rotors in OE form?
Are they interchangeable?
Any insight as to why they have done this would also satisfy my curiosity...

it would appear its a smaller size rotor. if the size is 255mm for the front then it won't fit your car as the front brakes on the 01 on models is 270 i believe

I believe 16bit is on the right track
From what I can find and remember, the auto NB8B came with 15 inch wheels where the manual came with 16 inch wheels.
My guess the 16s were to clear the larger brakes.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback.
Seems I'll have to let this deal slip through... I definately have 16"s...haven't measured the rotors, but sounds logical.
Cheers!

Re: Difference between AT and MT OE Brake Rotors
Auto wasn't available for the 2001 model year, it was introduced in the 2002 model year, and it has smaller brakes (which I found out to my detriment after waiting 9 weeks for caliper brackets to come from Japan, only to find the dealer had ordered auto versions )
Supreme Blue NB8B, 1:16.98 at Wakefield when stock, but it's not stock any more...
