I reckon the Supersprints are not quite as enjoyable as the club trackdays, but that's asking a lot because the club days are very special. The Supersprints are much more serious and there are heaps of very quick cars, which can be a bit intimidating at first. The MX-5s generally slot into the slowest 2-3 groups ... Hellmun excepted, he's a freak! Because there are so many people there, I tend to stick with the MX-5 Club guys, who are a very friendly and welcoming bunch. There's lots of chat between runs, and great advice shared on how to go faster. And then when you're waiting in the marshalling area for your run, there's opportunity to meet and chat with drivers of other cars who are always keen to talk about what they've done with their cars, what they plan to do, and how they're going on the day. As for the track time, don't expect too many laps, usually 4-5 runs of 3-4 laps depending on the circuit. Typically 16-20 laps at Wakefield or 12-15 laps at Eastern Creek. They are quality laps though, usually with little traffic so you can (and need to) really focus on driving hard. I think it's definitely worth a try.

Yep, I'm running "Made in Aus" 195/50R15 RE001. If anyone else has 15" Adrenalines I'd love to hear and share thoughts about tyre pressures!

LOL! You're such a cheeky buggar Deen.

Nice. Sounds like I might do a few more open days (MX5 club, circuit club etc) first!

It *was* a bit challenging having clean laps at the SOTS day, it was just so unorganised. Most of us would go out in some sort of order but there were a few cars (the Golfs and hottie in an Evo) that didn't seem to. That and the fact that there was just a huge difference in pace, probably around 20 seconds between slowest and fastest cars.
