Hey guys I have been a member on here for a while now and have yet to post a pic of my car so here it is. I have a white NA6.

I bought the car bog stock about a year ago and had the intention of turning it into a drift car (still my daily as well lol). I know that there are people on here that this is not their "cup of tea" but I wanted to be different and slide something besides a Silvia or a skyline so I chose the mx5.

I have done a fair bit of suspension work but am yet to decide what I want to do with the engine. Below are some pics of my at my first VICDRIFT day.
(Colored wheels were a bit or a gag)

List of mods from stock -
- Silver Hardtop
- HSD TT fully adjustable coilovers 6 & 8 kg spring rates
- Rear adjustable camber arms
- Whiteline adjustable sway bars (front and rear)
- 52mm alloy radiator
- silicon hoses (whole water system)
- 1.5 way clubman LSD (welded it)(locker)
- rota wheels 15x8 +4 (with a 5mm slip on the rears)
- gauges from ISC coilovers water temp, oil temp, oil pressure
- sparco sprint V bucket seat
- Half cage (built with some mates)
- clarion head unit
- custom made switch board
- front lip
- stripped interior (re painted white)
- nardi steering wheel 330mm classic
- skate bored grip tape on pedals
- blue cluster lights
- custom made exhaust from headers, 2 1/4 with 2 1/2 resi and 2 1/2 muffler. no cat (sounds the goods)
- custom made hard top side latches
- RE001 195/50/15 for the fronts

that's all I can think about right now...

enough talking ill let the pictures tell the rest.
also got a few of the cage being built.

Prepping the car for paint, used fridge paint to paint the interior.

The first couple of pics only showed half the picture ??? unsure why?

As you can see I'm a big fan of DIY I think you learn more about your car a and saves you money. So i will be making up some suspension braces soon and will be looking into a new paint job I'm thinking black or pearl white. Engine still undecided..... turbo .... keep it NA .... turbo would be nice to be able to hold longer angle but NA is more challenging...

Hi Kent,

I believe I have seen your car around the Camberwell area a couple of times. Your car looks great with a fantastic stance. Nice job on the roll cage!

I used to live in Camberwell and plan on moving back into the area when finances allow. My wife and I are probably in Camberwell shopping area at least every second Saturday. It was always close to the junction on Camberwell Rd that I saw your car. Check out my garage for photo's of my car. It is what I usually drive to Camberwell in when I go their on my own. Otherwise we are in the family car. I will keep an eye out for you and wave!

I will be going down to Sandown on Sunday to say hello to the Vic MX5 club motorsport guys so may see you there.

Are you sure you're not Wazman's brother (from another mother!), but with an NA? Have a read of his Garage thread, very similar.

Very cool kent! It looks great!

Im a big fan of anyone who shows the world that the MX is more then a hairdressers car... And to do it sideways is even better ;)

That was exactly my plan !!! people have said to me plenty of times that its a girls / hairdressers car but people were quite surprised when they saw it go out onto the track a little 1.6 motor entering a corner in 3rd at 110 -120 km/hr (i tried 130 but failed lol, next time!)

The whole photo is all there. It just the photos are too large to fit on some screens (if using lower res) so you just need to scroll the the right more.

Great Job on the car. I love your drifting pix. 8)

Great to finally meet you Kent. Your car looked tuff as ! I was actually surprised at your skill level.... you managed to pull off some nice slides with the low powered NA. Great stuff.
Dont worry once you slap a turbo on the side of that thing your mates in their s13/s14's will wonder why they need 280rwkw to keep up!

If you need some extra lock pm me.

So good to see more mx5's sliding on track.
