new mx5 owner here, have been reading this forum since I bought the car so its about time I said hi.

background; im In Brisbane, a while ago now I owned a '98 200sx & sold it to get something my fiance could learn to drive in; an '03 renault clio sport. Wasnt long until I missed the rear wheel drive fun, and the other half got her own car, so I've got myself a white 1990. it has a later model 1.8 dropped in by the previous owner, the car has 200k on the clock but the engine has 50k. I guess its possible some of you may have known the previous owner.

Existing mods/features:
1.8L engine
No air con or power steer
coilovers all around
quick shift kit
2x 6.5" speakers, head unit, amp + 10" sub in the boot
momo boss + wooden Steering wheel
stainless steel door trim
faster clutch kit (not installed)
adjustable camber kit (not installed)
17x7 avanti racing rims with nankang rubber
original wheels with bridgestone rubber
sway bars
chrome strut bar
chrome style bar
clear perspex wind break
mesh grill
chrome vent rings
black leather original headrest speaker 'roadster' seats
clear side indicators
aftermarket whiter headlights
recent soft top replacement
aftermarket sill plates

This is the blinged out original state:

In the past month of ownership Ive done the following:
bought a C spanner & lowered it about 40mm, softened the dampers
put in new black fur seat covers (the hard leather seats + suspention combined were too tough for the misses, had to soften things up a bit)
cut polished
run a saftey check on the suspension at pedders
Installed 2 additional 6.5" speakers onto the rear shelf
replaced the floor mats
modified the broken driver side door latch spring back into working order
fixed squeaky passenger door and clutch
sold the sh*t wheels & fitted the originals
removed the sun visors
tried a couple of different steering wheels but havent found the right one, thinking about buying raquette grip tape to put on the existing wood wheel.

Here is a quick photo from my phone of its current state, I need to take some decent photos, but with the stock 14's its looking alot less.. sh*t & handles better;

Plans:
Not sure about the style bar, it might have to go
New wheels
new head unit
new steering wheel & gear knob
RS products AC panel type 1
clear front bumper side reflectors
a better fitting dash pocket

new photos soon :)
