What? No gift voucher for the first 1996 Montego Blue to register?

There would have been a prize for a car if it was the only car registered in a base colour. We had more than one red, black, blue {including your Montego Blue), silver, grey, green but no white or yellow. Jeff Swords scored the prize as the oldest member.

Keep an eye out for a silver NB that must be a Mazda MX-F1 as there are three people paid and registered with only one MX-5 with three seats Is it right hansd drive or have an offset centre seat for the driver?

MX5 MANIA RUN REGISTRATION CLOSED

Apart from applications in todays post at MX5 Mania and any fax recieved before 12 noon on 14 May 2010 no more registrations will be accepted.

Lavender Gate Farm has reached its indoor capcity.

Unregistered participants are welcome to join the run however a takeawy a coffee and cake in the gardens at the Cafe or breakfast in a cafe in Wollombi (4 km down the road).

FINAL REGISTRATION LIST & INSTRUCTIONS

Below is the list of the people registered for the MX5 Mania Run this Sunday. The Lavender Gate Farm Cafe sets 60 under cover and 60 people have registered or confirmed their attendance.

IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED AND WANT TO GO ON A THE RUN starting from either McGraths Hill, Beresfield or Mt Colah then you are most welcome however you may have to settle for a cup of coffee in a take away cup and a cake etc out in the garden for breakfast a donation of $5.00 to the Club’s charities is expected if you join the run.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

1 CHECK YOUR FUEL LEVEL BEFORE YOU GET TO McGRATHS HILL as there are no service stations before Broke. Broke service station does not have 98 RON. There is no service station at Wollombi. The closest service stations to Wollombi are Cessnock and Peats Ridge.

On the way to McGraths Hill your options from the city are:-

SHELL on Windsor road going east at Rouse Hill – has 95 & 98 RON V Power.

CALTEX on Windsor road going west at Vineyard – has 95 RON but no 98 RON fuel.

AND there is a BP about a kilometre down the road west of McDonalds ,

2. NO PUBLIC TOILETS for the people on the Putty Road run before Broke (ETA 9.00 am), McGrath Hill McDonalds open from 6.00 am.

* I regret to advise that Gerard lost his life on the night of the 6 May 2010 when his M5X5 collided with a truck on the Old Pacific Highway near Mt Colah. Though Gerard will not be with us our thoughts and condolencies go to the Sasso family, the family of his passenger and to those close to them on their tragic loss.

** Earlier this week Peter Howe suffered a serious cardiovascular event requiring major surgery. Peter is now in recovery in a Brisbane hospital having been released from intensive care on the 14 May 2010. Carolyn, Peter’s wife, says he is sitting up, has been on a walk though he is still being closely monitored. Everyone who knows Peter wishes him a speedy recovery.
