NB power window switches the same?

HI,

Quick question. Are the power window switches from series 1 and 2 NB's the same? I have heard that the wiring is different, but what about the body/housing?

nb8a and nb8b should be the same, the nb8c should have the same plug but the driver's side has an auto down.

I put the NB8B "auto down" one in my NB8A, I might have had to swap 2 wires over but it was a easy job. Was so long ago I can't remember.

Confirmed. I put the auto up/down switch in my NB8A as well, and it just involved swapping two wires over. Again, can't remember exactly which ones, but I found out from somewhere like Miata.net, so the info is floating about somewhere.

Just an update. Both NB series one and series two switches have the same "body/housing". As others have mentioned, the wiring is different and also the direction of the plug from the back is different.
I was wiring an NB switch in an NA so i had do some other problem solving.

I thought my original switch was broken, but turned out to work before i was going to bin it! So i have a spare NB auto switch if anyone is interested.
