Did 2nd trackday at Oranpark South today.
Was damn hot!
Plus had to share with Drift Australia so there was rubber and dirt all over the track. In fact my cars sides looked like someone done a mad airbrush job. To bad it was just where bits of flying rubber hit it.
Reckon could have went quiker if
a) Still had the camber on it which got taken off my peders, when they did a check over of my suspension from my smash.
b) wasn't so hot
c) if Drift Australia wasn't there poluting the track. Note to everyone, don't do a track day if drifts are on as well.
56.99s recorded by stop watch.
Was in 57's all day long.
Done using 2004 SE with mania 2.5inch exhaust. Tyres - Achilles 123S in 205/40/ZR17(test dummy here wll review in wheel and tyre section).
Oh plus slippery leather seats.
Luke

Up dated my first post with my latest, and sadly the last time for Oran Park.
Sunday 17 January was the last day that a CAMS approved meeting was held at Oran Park, being Round 1 of the State Supersprint Championships. The circuit has been sold for housing and coming down the straight all you see now is roofs of freshly built houses.
The day started fine and I put in a time that nearly ended up being my best on the first run of the day. As the day progressed and the temperature both air and track went up to “hot”, times went down for everyone and cars were sliding around.
In the end I couldn’t get close to Mark Hellman time. On checking my times against what happened in practice the day before for the iRace day, I found Joe Macare in his track only NC was about a second slower, which gave me a thrill knowing that I was “on the money” and Mark was putting down similar times. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/resul ... 10.ORGP.P4
So my time for the GP Circuit, never to be improved, was 1:25.7837, three seconds faster than my first appearance there two years ago.

This event was my first on a new set of Kumho V70A tyres. They are different from the D01’s I was running in that they warm up very quickly where the D01’s required 2 laps to get to operating temperature. They hang on well but looking at the tread at the end of the day, I don’t think they will last all that long compared to the D01’s.
Next meeting will be at the "Creek" and it will be interesting to see if I can improve on my time there with the V70A's.

Circuit Club, Wakefield Park, 25/4/10.
First outing with 9psi installed, WOW, still smiling 3 days later, really love starking those EVO's.
1:11.3, It will be alot quicker once I get the braking distance worked out ( and stop laughing and concentrate ), 181Km/hr in to turn 1, thats 50k faster that before. Thats 5 seconds fast then any previous timed lap I have done. So the conversion owes me 5K (done all the work myself).thats 1k per second.

Car is Nb8a, torsens, BC coilovers, weldin half cage, sparco seats, semi's, hard top, 290mm front rotors with fd 4spot calipers, white line sways F&R, lightened fly wheel.
Turbo setup . SE turbo & manifold and some piping, cheap chinese intercooler & 40mm alloy rad,Turbo smart BOV, 440 injectors, Haltech sports 1000, with Wideband O2 and boostcontroller. 2 1/2 inch exhaust. First tune it made 127rwkw on 9psi boost. I will be keeping the boost low as I only really use it for track days. A few little ajustments to make and I will rerout the ccoling system and we will go back on the dyno.
