What's the different between NA and NB when it comes to rollover protection? Nothing.

Sometimes I think you make comments for the sole purpose of stirring the pot.


If your a tall bloke I would suggest the BD bar, as someone has already mentioned it's a bit taller. If your not wearing a harness the taller the better! I'm about 6"1' and my head only just sits below the BD bar. I think I should put some padding on mine as I have my seat the whole way back and have accidentally bumped my head on it when I've been lazy. I'm a bit worried as to what might happen in a hard rear ender. It's not such an issue in NB8B's because of the higher headrests.

Also, I have a front strut brace and a lot of the scuttle shake is gone, but there is a very definite twist point where the doors close at the non-existant B pillar. Going up steep driveways on an angle my interior light flashes on and off as the body flexes. I guess only a 6 point cage could fix that!

yeh true.. well in my car atm i got a sparco junior seat for me and that sits me lower so i believe that the height wont really be much of a deal for me.. Ive tested it out in dannys car and i still am below it with his mazdaspeed seats..

I would go the bd but it really doesnt do a better job then the mx5 plus one so im glad i chose that..

with regards to skuttle shake i do have a front strut brace atm and it did a little bit but im hearing alot of people rave about the boss frog fender braces on the us forums.. Id love someone to get a group buy for these going as im almost certain they'll do a good job at eliminating it..
