How many different spots can BP's leak oil from?

I've replaced the CAS o-ring twice to be sure its not that, I've taken the cam cover off and re-siliconed the corners of the cam humps, I'm pretty sure its not leaking from the oil pressure sender but there still seems to be oil coming from the rear of the engine!

rear main seal? can you see oil around the top of the engine, or is it just an oil leak u cant see?

Been there, done that (exactly the same), bought the new cam cover gasket. Problem solved.

I can't see much behind the engine but it feels like its leaking from the cas again but I've replaced the o-ring twice in 400km. Is the cam cover gasket expensive? Or is it possible to see if they need replacing visually? The one in my other engine might be ok? Could be a good excuse to paint the cam cover from that one crackle red to replace the stupid plain red one my mate did on my new engine behind my back

I paid Mazda about $70 for one. MX5 Mania have them at $86. So you need to be really, really sure that it's a top of engine leak first.

cas o ring. they are evil. about 1 in 3 normally work. i'm just about to replace mine again.

It seems that i got oil seeping from the edges of the rocket cover.

I guess from reading what you guys wrote that I need a new cam cover gasket?

Also, any pointers when replacing the gasket? or should i leave it to a pro?

if the rocker gasket is old then def replace it and re-silicon the cam humps up.

Check your head gasket, I've had a leak from one at the rear of the engine, if yours is a 1.8, the cas would be directly above where my leak was in the 1.6 (directly above where one would get the oil feed for a turbo from).
