Just been doing a bit of reading -
"The rear sensor is measuring oxyogen content, just like the front sensor, but has absolutely no influence on how the car runs."
"On OBD-II Miatas, there are two O2 sensors. The one in the exhaust manifold that the ECU uses to regulate the air/fuel mixture, and the second one after the cat to make sure the cat is working properly. I don't think it uses this second reading to change anything operationally, so you should be fine."

And how to fake the signal: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52498
Sounds like I might just fit it without the O2 sensor, put up with the light and see how it sounds. Then I can decide whether I want a resonated midpipe or not.

Maaan! I'm looking at that again, that is the cleanest looking RS*R I have seen.

A little peek at what's on its way... You get a cookie if you guess what it is... (not szemen or sliq who already know!)
It's a bit tatty but I'm guessing it's just been painted. Any ideas on what to do? I'm thinking strip it back, and maybe get it ceramic coated... is this possible with a header in such condition?

Can't wait to hear this when it's all hooked up.
Come to think of it, have yet to eyeball your car.
It'll happen.

Oh yeah, so a small update...
My mate and I spent about 3 hours under the car trying to get the old system off. A lot of WD40 was used, and just when we thought we were getting somewhere with the bolts progress seemed to stop. Turns out we stripped the thread completely off
Couldn't get the damn thing back tight either so now the car has an exhaust leak. Sounds fooly sick bro.
So now the plan is to just rip the old exhaust system right out, buy a new cat (it sounds blocked and sh*t) and just install everything in one go.
Same! I want these headers here... now!
I'm going to start going to JDMST EOMMs too, the last one (my first) was great. Do you go to them at all?
Also looking at the Anzac Day CC day, but I'm not sure if the car is ready... it's still (presumably) running lean (plus the exhaust problem as above). Just sent off an email to Jason @ TTAuto to see if we can get it sorted before then!
