Brakes front PISTON

Hi all,

On my NBa I have had a feeling that the LH front wheel brakes are jamming or rim is getting hotter than RH one for normally should be. On inspection with front of car jacked up on stands I have found which i think is correct the Piston isnt returning in after the brakes depressed only LH Front side.

If I take wheel off and twist the rotor in play it appears the piston goes back in OK. But as above when brake is applied the LH Front becomes again tighter to rotate than the RH Front. Is it just as they say corrosion on the piston or the slide bolts and need greasing or a need for a piston kit

Hope Im making sense as i am not a mechanical person.

Most probably the slider pins.

You will need to pull the pins out and clean them and apply some calliper grease.

I’ve done mine on the NC so I’d expect yours would be way over due for a clean up.

Thanks for the replys.

Im thinking the pins as well but outside chance could be the piston.....

But anyway booked in for some inspection & repairs to abrake specialists....

await the verdict tomorrow.............. Cause come friday a drive to the Hunter Valley Vineyards or maybe Port Stephens as its a public holiday in Newcastle for the regional show................

Hi all,

Well MX is back and the outcome was abadly scoared piston on the LH front. While its was in good time to check both and new kits/seals thru both fronts.

Maybe a good thing is regularly check this as you wouldnt pick this up, but by jacking up each wheel and making sure they spin freely then depress brake and try again to make make sure all is OK....
