What does your engine bay look like?

Postby RG.net » Sun Mar 14, 2010 3:08 pm

Ok guys, what does your engine bay look like?

Can include specs, or all a secret if you like.

I'm aware there is a turbo/supercharged thread like this, but anyone can post ... i'd love to see some ITB setups

I've finally finished mine, has gotten rid of alot of components and tucked all the wires, there are a little bits and pieces i may do later but its good enough for now.

Its N/A, with a 2.5 inch exhaust, RSR muffler, Npower headers, Custom intake (which i will change again!) OBXR 9.3mm leads, NGK plugs, Removed P/S and A/C and a 5 speed manual with 4.3 locked diff. Its very fun to drive now!

Next for the engine bay is to change the intake a little (get it drawing air from the front bumper ... just need some pipe) and configure the Jaycar DFA to lean the whole setup out a little.

It had 82rwkw in stock form (Cold side intake and A/C removed) with the auto. Once the DFA is configured and tuned, i'd like something close to 100rwkw.

Not as good as yours. Has an engine in it though.

Mania dyno, it's quite optimistic i hear, but i'll be going back to get another when the DFA is wired up and running, purely to compare to the first run.

Anyway, Get those pictures up!

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

It actually looks quite neat with all the AC and PS removed...

The SE looks very cluttered...

I would like to see a coldside FFS installed and all the AC and PS removed.

Mine looks very ordinary, but then again, it's for go, not show!

It also ran 16.3 stock with automatic ... it should run something like a high 14 now, but i shall find out on wensday!

i think the best anyone has gotten from an nat asp. was jolt.. his was 98rwkw from recollection, and that was with full exhaust, intake and hydra nemesis.. plus he had some whirly twirly thing that gave him a few more kilowasps
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..

Looks good Adam,

Must be much more fun to drive now with the manual,

Mines a work in progress, not the best pic. Should be complete in a week or so. Nowhere near as nice as the previous bays but long as the thing drives eventually im happy.
