Postby kazjim » Sat Mar 13, 2010 9:47 am

G'day all, i recall seeing a set of lotus style tail lights on this site, but cant recall who made them or where i could get them ....

Cant find any pics, but they were round and had a separate stop and turn lamps ....

Any leads ?

There are many variations/brands of it, and some which have 3 seperate globes as well.

if you knew what the OE lamp maker sells the lamps for to Mazda you would cry. Tailights for lamp manufacturers today are virtually commodities- you have to make and supply to a price. I reckon the rear combo lights on the OE NA and NB's are very good lights- well made and very nicely designed and executed-just my view. Incidentally it was Rangerunner that enquired about this style of lamp recently but I think there was some compatibility probs

Don't worry Chris, they don't have provision for reverse lights.
In fact, I can't recall seeing any of this style having reverse lights, strange.

Alfadog has a different style that appears to have all the lights.

The Zoom ones normally have a reversing light somewhere on the rear bumper. You can see it in the exhaust cut out on the first picture.

yep, zoom has a reverse light with the kit

see here:

I'm sure you could hook up something with the the lights alone, if you didn't have a center exhaust.

the lenses are the cheapest and oldest pattern - they are held by screws and no built in back up light as noted . This has not been used for OE lights for about 30 yrs but still employed fpr trailer lamps.
