Ride Height
Hey all,
Still new around here but just thought i would put this out there for an open discussion and maybe it might give me a few ideas.
im struck with the small problem of ride height.
after equipping the work equips
and noticing that this car which was recently purchased, has Lovells springs.
im still left with the problem that i do not know which type of lovells springs they are, hence i dont know how much lower than standard it is atm the moment.
in any case, prefferably i would like it around another inch lower at the front and 1.5 at the back.
ok.. now..
im tossing up between bighting the bullet and grabbing some BCs for the conveniance of adjustment and performance,
or saving a few bucks and grabing some adjustable koni shocks,
OR EVEN,
saving a few more bucks and looking for some maybe tein springs just to make the car sit lower.
any ideas on which would be the best value for money ratio out of these, or even suggestions on what else i have overlooked?
at the moment i am going for ride height predominantly since sway bars/butterfly bracing will eliminate most little body roll.

Take some measurements, both front and back, from the centre of the wheel vertically to the guard.
See this post:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=27611
then work out how mich your car is lowered.

ok after some measuring and thinking and calculating and getting confused by inches and millimeters then measuring again and recalculating...
i ended up with the result of my car being roughly 1 inch (27ish mm) lower than standard.
and after some researching i have decided on what i want.

With the AUD being so strong at the moment, you can get great deals from the US.
Emilio from 949racing has Tien Basic for US$839, so even with shipping costs it works out about $1250ish to your front door within about 7 days (mine arrived in 5 )

Well, one of my best mates has just become a distributor for Fulcrum, and operates from Sydney. As far as I know, he's soon to become a forum sponsor and can probably get you a good deal.
As far as I can see on that list, no distributors are listed in Sydney. Should I ask him for a quote for you?

I thought so too but they aren't on that list.
