Red NC northbound on the gateway at about 4.45, north of Depot Rd.

Was on the way back from spending a stupid 6 hours on the car with ASE05, and damn it looks good now!

YEP :D

I wondered if that other red NA was someone from around here. I'll always be on the slow and steady at that point - our office is on campus so the car isn't warm enough by Aldi to give it any squirt.....

Griffith is the MX5 hotspot now is it? My red NA is out there as well. Jerrah's has a black hardtop and mine is red. Also see a silver NA in the carpark every day. I think I may have seen you once heading in from the highway side?

Highly likely - the car is pretty easily recognised :)

The very rare 4WD version SE today - ASE05's car up on stands. Sure, I'm designed for an MX5 at 5ft 7, but the top of the mudguards are now at chest level!

Later today we drop the transmission out and examine the clutch, which is likely due for replacement.

Hot tip - If you're after a replacement clutch for an NB, Good-Win-Racing have an Exede stage 2 race clutch kit (includes the pilot & throw out bearings) for US$389 + shipping, which is a little less than the A$660+ for the Mazda OEM SE clutch replacement (which in turn is double the price for a standard clutch)

Saw a nice Red NA on Oxley Rd (inbound) today at around 6pm. License ***-LWL.

Had a weird black rectangle on the nose, which I mistook for a blank numberplate at first. Perhaps a mounting point for a car bra?

I thought he already had a million dollar "it'll never break" clutch in it already
Went for a drive and there were slow cars everywhere, why are NC's so common . . . must be NC = Normally Cardiganed.

Um - yeah... clutch didn't look all that special once it was taken out - not a known brand, except for the "Race Clutch" sticker, which is apparently the name of the business... so pretty dodgy all round I reckon.

Spotted this morning on Newnham Rd Wishart, one very frustrated Minx in traffic ............ Stewy looked like he was about to blow a valve after a woman in a 4WD nearly cleaned him up  .....took me a while to get him to recognise me in the Isuzu, once he did, he demanded I run over the 4WD  .....I politely declined, much as I'd like to run over the mongrels, it ain't worth the hassle

Not QLD I know - but I but travelled to NSW at the weekend, and saw a nice looking red NA north of Moonbi, heading up the ranges, then the same one again heading south on Sunday on the way out of Tamworth - but this time, well south of the ranges.

Was the only MX5 I spotted on the New England Highway between Brisbane and Tamworth - I'm guessing it was Tamworth's only MX5 - apparently the Mazda dealership there only ever sold one, in 1993 - and they've never heard of an SE, SP or seen an NB in the flesh, let alone an NC.

Their main trade is BT-50's I'd imagine. Saw plenty of those!

Oh - and NSW needs a new numberplate tagline: NSW - THE SPEED CAMERA STATE
