Cheers Mordecaii,

Hope I didn't cause too much chaos!

Another great run is obviously Old Pac Hwy up to Mooney and beyond. Great sweeping bends and not much traffic.

As for my car, the other thing I really want is the Chrome windscreen surround to complete the classic look (see attached). I saw a BRG NA with the chrome surround last weekend on City West Link and it looked HOT! I can just imagine how awesome it'd look on the Black NA.

just installed an S2000 style stubby antenna which looks much better than the OEM retractable antenna. So heavy and the motor died anyway...
Next mod = AC Cobra style sliding rear view mirror....nice!

Indeed, a few of us actually live down there - on the Berry -> Kangaroo Valley section you probably drove right past my place. Sing out next time you're around, always a pleasure sharing those roads with other Roadsters.

Loving the 'racer zero' style you've got going so far, looks fantastic!

Pop in and say hello to the JDMST community, you'll be most welcome there also.

Is this an Elise with the 1.8lt Celica engine? Or do they now all come with that engine, with one model having a supercharger?

No, this is an earlier model with the legendary 1.8L Rover K engine that was basically stripped down and rebuilt by Lotus. The later models (i.e. 2004 onwards) came with the 1.8L Celica VVTi engine. Comparing the two engines, the Rover engine offers much more torque and is a lighter engine - thus being the engine of choice for Lotus racers. The good thing about the Toyota engine though, is that you can buy a bolt-on supercharger kit from off the shelf...this can provide hours of fun!

Rubbish, anyone successfully racing one has dumped the K and fitted a Honda. The K series donk does make a good boat anchor however.
