Was looking for something to improve the speed of my power windows.
Did a fair bit of research and found many suggestions. On miata.net many people recommended Shin Etsu Silicone Grease for lubricating the rubber channel in the quarter window (and also for the hardtop/soft top seals).
I could not find anywhere in Aus where Shin Etsu was sold until I discovered that Honda use it for lubricating the seals on the S2000 top.
If you ever want to get a tube, call up your local Honda spare parts and ask for:-
Part Number 08798-9013
It's not cheap (around $55) but a tube will last the lifetime of the car (at least) as you don't use a lot in every application.
I have applied it and it definitely smoothes the window travel.
Just thought I'd post this to make it easier to track down in the future for those that are looking (like I was!).

Sounds interesting. I wonder if all Silicone Grease is the same. I have a tube I got from a Reece plumbing store for a plumbing project. Cost about $25...I will have to try it on Tweety. I also have a silicone lube in a spray can which I have used to lubricate the windows previously. Think I got that at Bunnings many years ago.

I purchased a large can of silicone spray from Bursons for all of $8. Worked perfectly
