Hi Everyone,
Has anyone changed the speakers in their NB8B? I would like to change mine, but don't want to install anything that means changing the appearance of the interior.

There's plenty of room in the doors and behind the trim for fitting different speakers. I've got 6.5inch splits in my doors and to look at no one would ever know the difference. It's very easy to get a new set of decent speakers in without changing the look of the interior.
Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.

I have 8inch Phillips speakers behind the std door card in mine - bolt straight in with no mods.

Clearwater 8" splits. Screw straight in, no mods to the door or door card. The speakers even use the same screw mounting locations as the factory stuff.

haha same here, i will be installing the 6.5" response kevlar splits (they gone down from 300 to 155 by the way at jaycar) alpine amp and dynamat the heck out of it this weekend...
just some info, 8" fits, but for anything smaller (except 5x7" s which are factory speaker size) you will need to make some spacers on the speaker holes.
Use the search and you will find many treads about it...

I wouldn't mind attending the sound off.
Let me know where and when.

As there so many of us that like our hi-fi's, perhaps some of the clubs should stage a sound-off day so we can all get together and listen to each others sound systems, and pick up some tips and tricks along the way.
I'm sure that there are many guys here on the forum that would like to improve their set-ups, but would like to hear what improved speakers and amps etc. sound like in the real world and see how things like USB interfaces work for car stereos as well as how to input your i-Pod to best effect.
How about it club presidents and club captains?
