It is, and we do!

Yellow NC2 PRHT in traffic near Cambelltown yesterday afternoon.

And this morning, very unexpectedly, was tailed by a Montego Blue NA along the Illawarra Hwy and into Bowral on my way to work. Exchanged a beep and a wave.... who are you? Very unusual to see MX5's around my area at that time of the morning, particular those being dríven in a spirited fashion.

Couple of spots on the freeway/roadworks/carpark/squeeze near Campbelltown yesterday on my way home, a crystal blue NB with rimz and hardtop heading outbound, and a red NA with black hardtop inbound.

Spotted the ACT mob gathering at Mr Spokes in Canberra on Saturday morning. The BOV and I had Greyhounded it into town to see the Post Impressionist Exhibition at the ANG, and we were taking a steady walk down Commonwealth Ave at 09:30. A couple of 5's had gone passed us and when the 3rd peeled off to go down under the bridge I thought it too much of a coincidence and it looked like a gathering of sorts. So we crossed the road to investigate and and spied about six 5s in the carpark. Clearly a muster was occurring. We started heading towards the group to introduce ourselves, but figured those gathered would be getting ready for a run (...unusual for a Saturday morning we thought, but then again it was Canberra). Anyway, being naturally shy folk, we decided not to interrupt proceedings and turned back to our original destination, via brunch at Manuka.

Today I checked out the event only to discover the ACT chapter was meeting for "Coffee and Lies", for which The BOV & I are abundantly qualified (hint: The BOV is the coffee expert). So we really regret not making ourselves known on the day, which we would have done had I have done my research beforehand. I was also a bit gobsmacked by the sheer coincidence of being there at that time, and choosing to walk rather than cab it and spotted youse all.

And what is most regrettable would have been the opportunity to have made a crack about the rarity of White SPs... if Casey (Troy?) would have been there I would have played possum and told him "...those White SPs ain't so rare. Why, even I've got one of those." I would have loved to see the reaction.

...anyways, here proof we were there!

If you had taken two of those photos 15 minutes later, I would have been parked there as we (Blue NB, gold NB and white NA) arrived at about 9.45-I think. Coffee was OK but us three took the long way home via Urriarra and the Cotter for that added enjoyment.!

Actually I think you guys were already there but behind a fence to the right of the shot. I think the blue NB had the reg number MXV-05, or similar. If so, that was the one that aroused our suspicions and traced it under the the bridge and onto the other side. I could see more cars, but couldn't get them in the one pic. :oops:
