So.. It was really late last night, 1am and I was tired.
My mind was telling me to drive forward and do a 3 point turn off the kerb but some stupid part of me decided to reverse in to the drive way behind me and I scraped my new bbs rims
So the question now is how to fix them? they are not too bad but noticable.
Anyone recommend any place in sydney to fix them?
How do they fix them and how much am I looking to spend?
Will they look like new? or will it look like they have been patched up.?
Any advice is much appreciated

I did the same thing, rang up magman in punchbowl, he gave me a VERY ROUGH estimate of $160 (depends on your type of wheel, and how bad the damage is obviously).
I decided to pass, but apparently he does very good work - a lot of other people will come in here to recommend him

If it not too bad try some steel wool. There was a post on diy rims.

I checked the skyline forum and most people are quoting 80 bucks.
Hopefully I can get it fixed for 80 bucks.. so annoyed at myself right now

Called magman they say it will cost 80-160 to fix
However it will take a whole week... The NC has no spare wheel =( and my car is a daily driver.
Probably best to source a spare BBS rim.

depends on how bad.
if it's gouged into the metal $80 seems reasonable.
if it's only light you can probably get away with just filing it down and then polishing.

I'm sorry cause I know this sounds harsh in light of your recent mishap, but there are two sure fire ways to fix gutter rash.
1. Never - and I do mean NEVER allow SWMBO to drive your car. The genetic accumulation of being told wrongly what 8" is means women cannot judge distance.
2. Pay attention to what you are doing when you are driving, and if the little red light in the corner of your brain is going off telling you NOT to do the one point Uturn in the narrow street, then don't do it.

One of the toughest self-discipline tasks is to restrain oneself from trying to park close to the kerb (or do a U turn between kerbs in one go)
Straight-lining Roundabouts are my biggest worry - so easy to misjudge a few centimetres.
A mate badly kerbed one wheel on his HSV and had it repaired perfectly (not a polished rim of course). He had to have all the wheels repainted however as the repairer could not exactly match the original paint colour.

......... I won't even comment on the sexist attitude - suffice to say that I have never scraped the gutter with my wheels - ever ... not on any car I have owned.

Perhaps I should have used the newly developed sarcasm emoticon, given that there is also a fairly unsubtle dig at the perceived men's habit of over estimating what 8" is in reality..... therefore contributing to the problem of women judging distance.....
