Nice work!
the car looks fantastic.
I think you need some spacers for that extra poke, and you are set with the exterior.

Looks shiny. Can I touch it?
Spent a fair amount of time cleaning mine today as well. It's damn hard work when you get stuck into it with an obsession.
Mine has lots of stone chips as well. They're frustrating but can't be avoided with the driving we do.

looks sweet.
re rain x, have a look on the forum, people get mixed reviews on it. some people say it works like dogs breakfast, others say it's a godsend.
p.s. hard top would make it perfect

Thanks phil. Yeah I've been considering spacers but I'm not sure whether it'd adversely affect handling...

Sure. Yeah it was hard work, but there's still more to do

Hehe, I'm a big fan of top down even in winter so not sure if I'd ever get a hard top

Got pics of the new wheel?

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Thanks. I've just put it in, the feel of it is so good!

Not yet, I don't have a horn button for it so it's pretty unfinished. But it will look great, and more importantly it feels awesome.
If anyone has a nardi horn button for sale (or something cool that'll fit in a nardi wheel) then please PM me!

^ what he said. But I did another wash and rinse after claying cause my clay left a residue on the surface.
It's sooo good though. I poured some water over the fenders last night just to see how good the wax is and it just rolls off. Wipes away with a terry towel.
Not sure if I was meant to wax the crinkle(?) finish on the lower half of the doors, cause there are now white specks all over it which I presume is dried wax which hasn't wiped away properly.
Yup Sasso my steering wheel is on. It's pretty much straight. Out by about 1 degree, I think my previous wheel was the same. Splines on the steering column prevent getting it exactly right. Guess I'd need a new alignment to get it spot on. Still got no horn button...!

So, got an alignment today. Also a couple weeks ago I noticed my rear passenger side was higher than the drivers side.
Apparently it's because I'm obese and hardly ever drive with a ballast. I couldn't find my c-spanners in my hurried rush this morning so I got the shop to level the rear out. The solution was to raise the drivers side 8mm.
The car feels awesome, I guess we'll see how I go at the track day.
Specs are:
caster ~ 5 deg
front camber ~ -1.9 deg
rear camber ~ -2.2 deg
front toe .1 deg
rear toe .34 deg

Lookin' good, but I'm NOT a fan of the offset number plate mount, it looks "tacked on" and screws up the symmetry (IMHO).
Is it actually legal to have it protrude this much (on the right side) without being flush (or close to flush) with the car's panelling?

Thanks silvermx5
Yeah I'm undecided about it too, but it sure beats the other options.
In the mouth = bad flow through to the radiator (although when I had it like that I didn't notice any problems, it didn't sit right with me)
Above the mouth = dents in your bumper when dicks reverse into you
... under the mouth would be good, but I don't think I could with the lip.
I've been through RBTs and random pull overs without a second glance at anything on my car by the fuzz. I'm pretty sure my mount is legal. It's flush.

This has got to be one of the best views in Sydney (panoramic views out past the heads through to the city)

dw, if the no. plate is sitting above the mouth and u get reversed into, the damage is still heart aching regardless of whether he's reversed into you and where the bracket sits
