Postby AJ » Mon Dec 28, 2009 1:37 pm

that might actually be a bit low mx5chic :? ..........when my old Isuzu dumped it's gas & had the new hose fitted & regassed, the aircon guy told me that optimum at the vents was 5c, any lower & it was hard on the compressor & could freeze the lines :?

Air Con not working properly?

I agree, the ideal temperature on the evaporator is 1-2 Deg Celcius, my system is a little cooler than that but I have been keeping an eye on it checking for signs of Evaporator icing.

I bought a Replacement compressor which is the same fit and size as the original unit, bought it from JM AUTOAIR in Campsie, NSW. - http://www.jmautoair.com.au ($300).

Air Con leaking water on carpet

Hi Gents,

I just went through this process, and had my AC serviced and regassed in my NB8A. It's cool and refreshing.

I drove the car for a few hours on the weekend - and ended up with a massive puddle in the passengerside footwell. is there a blockage? or a pipe that needs to be moved?

blockage in the drain pipe baron, should run under the carpet & through the floor, remove & clear it & you'll be fine :)
