That's a respectable start considering your level of experience and the intimidation factor of Oran Park. It's a very challenging circuit! And you can at least say that you've dríven it before it was ripped up for housing estate.
I did a 1:32.16 in my first outing at Oran Park GP with my stock NA6 on very used Adrenalins and a hardtop (Sep 2009). But I've done 18 track days in total, and 11 of those in the last year since I bought my NA6. I recently improved that time to 1:31.45 with RE55s and a CF hardtop (see my sig for a link to the Youtube video). Admittedly I wasn't pushing as hard - getting used to the way the semis work and those concrete walls are threatening! I had the only stock NA6 at the last ever Oran Park supersprint, and the modified NA6s (class 2A) were ranging from 1:28.23 to 1:37.61. You're right in there with the modified guys, so good result!
You should try to get to the NSW MX-5 Club trackdays if you haven't already. The next one is 14th February. Wakefield is a nice and safe circuit which means you can push the limits much harder with much less concern about crashing your car (within reason!). Plus you get laptimes and can gauge yourself against other drivers of equivalent cars. It's great fun!
