Ladies and Germs,
I'm keen to bleed my front brakes this weekend - changing pads too. Does some one know of a step by step guide? What do people think of Bendix Advance pads? I've heard mixed thoughts.
Thanks for your help!

How to bleed NB8A Brakes?
Plenty of online guides for the MX5, including (I would expect) bleeding the brakes.
It's basically easy - get your self a bleed kit from Repco or similar. You'll also need an 8mm spanner, and bottle or a few of brake fluid. Crack the seal on the brake nipple to loosen it, then turn just till it locks off. Put bleed kit on brake nipple, light turn on the brake bleed nipple to loosen, then slowly pump the brake pedal. Add fluid. Pump. Add fluid. Pump. Repeat at each corner, until all are done, and the fluid in the cylinder is clean, starting at the corner furthest away from the cylinder (passenger rear).

Advance are good street pads but will will squeal a little on first application in the morning. Apart from that they are good.

the tbro method was also recommended to me by the local brake repair facility esp if you are changing the fluid. If you are just changing the pads you should not need to bleed the brakes. The other thing that is always advisable is to have the discs machined- you might need to check if they can do this while you wait.
