I'm a mad keen paintballer (going on a decade now), and I try to organise at least two games a year (don't worry, I'm going somewhere with this). And without fail, every time I organise a game, there is always going to be somebody who it doesn't work for, and people fight with me to the last minute about changing the date, or the time, or the location.
Eventually you just need to draw the line and tell them "this is what I'm doing, when, and where. If you're free and you want to be a part of it, come along. Otherwise, no hard feelings."
Like the previous posts, I've reorganised my next few weekends so that I can do this run. I'm hoping we can do it on the 17th, but if it gets postponed, I'll just sign up for that one too.
And hopefully Brody, Two40 and Midori will let me (the humble newb) tag along when they do the run on the 17th anyway!

That's a valid point, Midori.
I'll start listing some names to see who's in/tentatively in:
1. Sliq
2. Jimi
3. Midori
4. 7StringSamurai
5. Two40
6. Acidkid
7. Stantheman - tentative
8. Badbong
9. Broady
I say we just go with it, weather permitting.
I won't be leading the pack as my tyres aren't 100% but I can gladly give the ringleader which route to lead

At this stage the forecast is for a low chance of rain but we all know how accurate it is that far ahead.

Hey guys,
I'm keen to bring the SE along for a blast. In fact I've never been on a cruise/run with other MX-5's, so after 3 years of ownership I think its about time I come out of my hole. And an early morning fly up Putty Rd I think is an excellent way to do so. Count me in!
Also, can anyone tell me what the suggested "pace" will be? Reason being, is that I enjoy flirting with speed limits just like everyone else, but I still value my licence...
See you all then.

generally, if you have someone like stantheman leaving, he will be hammering it far ahead
depends who the pack leader is.. if you're looking for a steady, cruisey drive.. stick to the rear of the pack

Hi Sliq,
Assuming the run turns right off the Putty Road at Milbrodale to head towards Broke then any convenience stop would need to be a convenient stretch of bush beside the roadway. When I last drove up the Putty and Milbrodale Roads to Broke I found no public toilets, cafes or places open for breakfast. The eatery section of the Broke General Store/Service Station is nothing to get excited about but does have a toilet. Unless you know of a suitable breakfast venue before Wollombi or Pokolbin, Wollombi is your best bet with cafes serving breakfast and the pub. Pokolbin has plenty of options including Hunter Valley Gardens, Peppers Creek etc. Please post your route and breakfast stop before Sunday so anyone running late knows where to go to catch up or meet for breakfast.

You'll be doing BYO breakfast?
The half way house burnt down a few months ago. See my earlier post in this thread. I've attached a photo of what it looked like on 11th October this year.

Late afternoon though. We'll be home by them. It should actually be nice and sunny in the morning.
