C.Drive aren't the best tyres performance wise no. I have looked at Kumho, but none had 14" >.< Very limited in terms of good tyres for 14" without resorting to R888s :P Has anyone else tried the Falken or Federals?

KU36s are a direct competitor to the RT615s. I'm definately keen on trying them out when the RT615s on the Liberty need replacing.

It is truly sad to hear the news from Friday that Bridgestone Australia will be closing it's tyre factories in South Australia and New Zealand :cry: . 600 jobs will be lost in it's Adelaide plant as a result, and a further 275 jobs in Christchurch. The New Zealand factory will be closed by the end of December, with the Australian manufacturing operations wound up no later than April 30, 2010. Say goodbye to the last Australian-made tyres on the market. Looks like all Adrenalin RE001s will now be imported from Japan.

Very sad news... The writing been on the wall for a while since Holden began sourcing its window rubbers and seals from china... Save a few cents per car, loose 600 jobs in Australia... When you think about it thats 600 less people who can afford to buy a new holden so its counter productive...

Jeez, that's a bit harsh. I've got Aussie-made Adrenalins in 185/60R14 on my NA6A and have no complaints about them. They have been good enough to produce the club record for a stock NA6A :D . The shoulders of the front tyres were chipped after a track day at Eastern Creek, but that was due to an inappropriate wheel alignment. Otherwise the Aussie-made Adrenalins have been brilliant tyres, IMHO.

My 205/something/15 have a particular lack of grip in the wet, whereas my old japanese ones on 16s were pretty good. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions that the differentiating factor is where they were made.

Otherwise yes, the dry grip is pretty much the same (very good)

Everything I've seen suggests that the Aussie made RE001's are rubbish, and the Japanese ones were ok.

Sure 600 job losses isn't good, but when they turn out crap like the RE001's I had, then it's no surprise that the Australian factory can't survive.

Thanks for the info in here guys. I ordered a set of PP2s as a result... get them tomorrow... upgrading from Maxxis's... im not gonna know what hit me :D

Hey mate, long time! Good choice on the PP2's - was I gonna say anything else? :lol:

So have you still got the SP then? I found myself one in Feb... I swapped the Maxxis tyres it came with for PP2's within the first week I had it.

I've still got the SP... i cant bring myself to get rid of it :)

I am really looking forward to having the car with decent tyres... the maxxis' really cant keep it straight, dry or wet :P
